On the afternoon of 28/9/2026, the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) held a ceremony to announce and present the Decision on retirement under the applicable regime to Ms. Ha Thi Phuong Thao – Chief of Office of the Foundation, while expressing appreciation for her contributions during her career. According to the Decision, Ms. Ha Thi Phuong Thao will retire and receive social insurance benefits from October 2026.

On 24/9/2026, in Vinh Long Province, the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED), in coordination with Cuu Long University, organized a scientific workshop themed “International Cooperation in Funding Scientific Research and Technology Development: Current Situation, Challenges and Development Orientations.” The workshop provided a forum for connecting management agencies, funding foundations, universities, research institutes, enterprises and scientists, with a view to promoting substantive research cooperation and gradually forming high-quality science, technology and innovation tasks arising from the practical needs of localities and the Mekong Delta region.

On 21/8/2026, at the Institute of Oceanography in Khanh Hoa Province, the Ministry of Science and Technology, in coordination with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, organized a workshop entitled “Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation in Implementing Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW on Building and Developing Vietnam into a Strong Maritime Nation.”

Within the framework of the State visit to the Russian Federation by General Secretary and President To Lam from 7–9/9/2026, a delegation from the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) attended the Vietnam–Russian Federation Science and Technology Forum in Moscow and, in coordination with the Russian Science Foundation (RSF), presented the announcement of the 2026 Vietnam–Russian Federation Joint Call for Co-Funded Scientific and Technological Research.
